There are numerous holidays and festivals throughout the Pyrenees. Festivals in the Western Pyrenees: 13 July, Celebration of the Tribute of the Three Cows, Roncal. Mid-July, Bull running, the most famous festival in Spain takes place in Pamplona, Navarra. Early August, International Pyrenees Folk Festival, Oloron-Ste-Marie.

Festivals in the Central Pyrenees: July, Jazz Festival, Germ. Mid July, Jazz Altitude, Luz Saint Sauveur. Late July, Theatre Festival, Gavarnie. Mid-July, Tour de France, this famous cycle race passes through the Central Pyrenees. Late August, Floral Festival in Bagneres de Luchon. Semana Santa (Holy Week) is the week leading up to Easter Sunday, and is marked by parades of holy images through the streets.
